about

This is a song Micah Risinger wrote last year while attending Truett McConnell College. He wrote it originally as a hymn and arranged it later for different instruments and rhythms. The text comes from several Biblical passages in hopes of sharing the story of the Bible in a holistic perspective.

Here are the scripture references for the song:
-Exodus 3:6-8
-Matthew 25:31-46
-Romans 8:20-23
-Romans 12:1-2
-Romans 12:17-21
-1 Corinthians 15:58
-2 Corinthians 5
-Ephesians 1:3-10
-Ephesians 5
-Philippians 2
-James 1:2-4
-James 3:17-18
-Revelation 21

lyrics

Oooooh.

Hear O Lord our cry
In distress we call to You
We are longing for your side
Your will, we want to do

Joyful lives in pain
With a hope that brings rebirth
To restore and come to reign
Your kingdom here on earth

Chorus:
For our lives have been made new
And sin has lost its sting
Sowing peace in all we do
O We shall praise the King

Hungry to be healed
All creation groans today
Your redemption is revealed
Thru Your grace we show Your way

Through the cross Your blood’s made peace
Now you reconcile all things
Showing love to the least of these
Your bride will stand and sing
